Nah Nah

A couple weeks ago, Noah started saying the word "Nah Nah". He would say it at the most random times that I couldn't figure out what he was talking about. Each time he said it, he said it so matter-of-factly, not like the little babbles he throws out for the fun of it, but like he meant something by the use of this word. I was thinking banana or night night, but I was wrong. We just nailed down the true translation: "Noah." Every time he sees a picture of himself or his reflection in the mirror, he smiles big and points and says "Nah Nah."

There's something that makes Noah a little more human (and less baby) now that he knows who he is :) Sometimes I catch these glimpses of him saying or doing random things, and I realize that he's losing his baby-ness. I can't believe how fast that happens!

Doesn't he seem like he's saying "Mom I'm getting big, and you can't stop me!" Yikes. Oh well, babies are fun while they last, and then I guess you just go ahead and have another one. :)

He is so cute. I remember now that on your last post I wanted to comment about his cuteness but got sidetracked by my love of garage sales. Noah getting the plate and sitting down and folding his arms makes me want to eat him. And like you said, I was thinking to myself it's a good thing I'm having another baby because there is something so magical in my opinion about that second year of life that I am so glad I get to see it again.

That's funny! When we looked at the pictures you just sent us, we all said Noah looked like a "real boy" now. It must have happened overnight!
How can he be so CUTE? Can't wait to visit you and see him do all of his tricks...
We love you all.
