The last few weeks we've been trying to have tummy time with Noah, but he wouldn't have any of that! He would cry and cry after only a few minutes. Last night he looked like he wanted to roll over for a second and then began to wail! We decided that today would be the day, and it was. He rolled over right when daddy came home from work and has been having fun doing it over and over again ever since. It's like he just figured it out and then realized how much fun it was. The funniest thing is how simple it seems that he's rolling over, but how excited Mommy and Daddy are to see him do it. Now we can add rolling over to his list that used to consist of sleeping, eating, and pooping.
We spent last weekend with Grandma Campbell. I thought Beaver Dam was small until I visited Pioche. Pioche used to be a thriving mining town back in the day but it's dwindled and it has a little ghost townish feel to it. We walked around town and visited the Lincoln County museum. And Noah made friends with an Indian.
Below are some pictures of our trip to Kentucky. Noah had a Merry first Christmas. He opened presents and went on walks and played with Grandma and Grandpa. We played Rock Band (Noah included, but he wasn't very good at singing the right words) and watched Heroes. The picture of Noah and Grandma Pieper needs an explanation or she might be sad we show pictures of her with the baby screaming: Noah goes crazy every time you take the bottle out of his mouth. It's pretty humorous sometimes, because he downs 6 oz (in 4 minutes flat) and he's still furious that you take the bottle away. He is our little pig. He snorts too, (especially in St. George where the weather is so dry). Anyway, it was fun to be there at the Piepers where there were 7 people to play with baby instead of 2. Noah was just passed back and forth from person to person the whole time (if that person was lucky enough to steal him from Grandma's loving clutches!). Now that we are back in St. George, he is going through withdrawals since the poor kid is stuck with my face all day!
We left on Christmas Eve to visit Kentucky. We had to start our traveling day super early to survive the holiday traffic and traveling-with-baby. After all was said and done, our Christmas Eve was fifteen hours on the road/in the air. Noah was pretty amazing, and here's some pictures to prove it.
