(yes, he climbed into the sink all by himself. Apparently it is easier to wash dishes while you are actually in the sink with the dishes.)So as Noah is becoming interested in the manual dish washing process, he is losing interest in our dishwasher machine. Thank goodness. All those times he would open the dishwasher and climb up onto the door, or pull all the silverware out, or start the dishwasher cycle…keeping him away from all that fun was exhausting. I never thought I was getting through to him. Until a few weeks ago, our friends were visiting, and their little boy tried to open up the dishwasher. I caught Noah reprimanding him: “NO! Blake, NO!” he scolded, even pointing and shaking his little finger at the culprit.
And then there’s the refrigerator. We need to invest in a good lock. He is always opening it up and pulling out random foods. I have actually seen him swing open the fridge, extract a gallon of milk, unscrew the cap, take a big swig, and finish with an exhuberant "Ahhhhhhh" of satisfaction. We are very refined in our house.
And this was his snack of choice last week:

Yes, that is butter. And yes, those are teeth marks in the butter. In the words of Noah: "Mmmmmm."

Hilarious, especially the butter.
Hearing your dishwasher woes makes me glad we've never had one. Wait a minute, no it doesn't. I'd gladly take one and battle a toddler if it meant an end to hand washing.
What a funny kid! Evelyn loved to help me with the dishes too at that age, she was sitting on the edge of the sink dangling her feet in. Drinking dirty dishwater too. I nearly had a heart attack when she was mouthing bowls that had been sitting in the sink for over a day with stuff in them (no dishwasher at that point). I love the butter cube picture too. Reminds me of my brothers. Must be a boy thing.
Now if he will only continue to wash dishes he will make some woman very happy! Although he might not want to drink the water out of the bowls in front of her. Wonder who he saw swigging milk from the carton???
He is hilarious. The butter really Noah?! We can't wait to see you guys.
haha I love that he washes your dishes! Send him over to my house please! I also love that he told Blake NO when he tried to open the dishwasher. So funny. Hallie is the same way with her love for the dishwasher. I can not do the dishes with her around because she is always right there. Can't wait until she starts washing my dishes instead. haha
