We were able to spend time with both families this year, thanks to all the Campbells who came to us, and then the Piepers who loved us enough to fly us out to Kentucky. We loved seeing everyone, and especially seeing Noah interact with everyone. He gets so excited to see all his aunts uncles cousins and grandparents, I have to remind myself that he loves me too even when he ignores me with other more exciting people around! It really is a complement to all these lovable people we have in our family.
We celebrated Christmas morning first with our little family at our house. It was sweet to have a little family Christmas with just the 3 of us.

Noah woke up early enough that after our little Christmas morning celebration, we headed over to Grammy and Papa’s and got there before the Morgan girls tore into their gifts. There's nothing quite like kids on Christmas morning. We had so much fun that day and during the week with the Morgans and the rest of the Campbell family. We hosted our Wild Thing Lunch (Pieper family beloved tradition) and partied it up at the Nissle reunion and Campbell O Holy Night celebration.
The next morning, we headed off to Kentucky and mir
aculously Noah was angelic on the flight. Visiting Kentucky is still like coming home! We didn't get out much while we were there, but after all the craziness of the holidays and work and everything, it was refreshing. If I went into hibernation anywhere, I would choose 109 Raines Avenue any day. Grandma and Grandpa and Uncles Christian and Kenton stepped right in and took over my childcare responsibilities, so it really was a vacation. Now we are back to our normal lives and we are managing alright. Happy New Year to everyone !
