Elder Jeffrey R. Holland said this, speaking specifically to young mothers: "Do the best you can through these years, but whatever else you do, cherish that role that is so uniquely yours and for which heaven itself sends angels to watch over you and your little ones...You are doing God's work. You are doing it wonderfully well. He is blessing you and He will bless you, even--no especially--when your days and your nights may be the most challenging...Yours is the work of salvation, and therefore you will be magnified, compensated, made more than you are and better than you have ever been as you try to make honest effort, however feeble you may sometimes feel that to be."
[from April 1997 General Conference Report, read the whole talk here.]
So it feels pretty good when others appreciate the work you are doing. Along the same lines, but on a lighter note, this is most recent way my man gave me props.
(the stick man is kyle and he is saying "Push!!!!" Good thing this card was censored.)

Good thing you don't ALWAYS labor! What a creative husband!
I think you and Kyle should write a marriage book. You guys are SO cute with each other!!! I always love Kyle's stick drawings. And this one is particularly awesome!! I miss you guys! I'm contemplating signing up for a half-marathon on January 23 in St. George and therefore would want to stay with you guys for awhile. Will you be around?
Love the quote, love the card - this made my day. It is wonderful to know that you are there all making happiness together
(with a lot of help from angels...)
I love all of you very much.
Thanks for the quote!! I love the card your husband made-hilarious and oh so creative!
